Berry Reserve, Narrabeen

Northern Beaches Council approached us to help them achieve a very thematic playspace. With our ability to draw upon multiple suppliers and artists we were able to create an amazing space that the community truly love. The projects central theme was centred around an existing mosaic dragon on one of the boundary walls, so from this we created a feature Castle and Castle Gates/Drawbridge – all designed in-house. Then a nest of Terrazzo dragon eggs were made, and dragon footprints meandering through the space.

The site also allowed us to draw on the original use of the site, being an old tram station. So we developed a custom routed tram station to mimic the original building, complete with ticket office and clock. The project also included a “little village” area, nature-play balance and musical space, swings, spring rocker, trampolines and several beautiful timber sculptures.

This project has to date been our favourite. It saw us collaborate with Council on all aspects of product design and layout, collaborate with multiple suppliers for each unique component, and our artists. The result is something we and Council are very proud of.
